Eastside MTA
Student Recitals
Pei-Hsin Kao ~ Chair
We are pleased to offer EMTA students the opportunity to perform within the chapter. These exciting recitals will be held at Northwest Pianos in Bellevue from 5-7pm on the following Sundays:
October 6, 2024
NOVEMBER 17, 2024
FEBRUARY 23, 2025
MAY 18, 2025
The length of each recital could be varied between 50 minutes and 1 hour, or up to 1.5 hours. The order of the performance is determined by age, from youngest to oldest student. When too many students sign up, we will divide the group into two separate recitals with mixed ages and repertoires. This event does not require a cash deposit; a valid EMTA membership is the ticket to access this precious event.
All performers and teachers: are required to participate and listen to the entire recital. There is no late arrival, early dismissal, and absence for the performance; all are required to listen to and observe the performance of the others. If there is a sick absence or emergency on the day, please have the teacher notifying the chair as soon as possible. Students and teachers who do not respect and violate the recital policy will not be able to participate in the future recitals.
Students could arrive the venue as early as at 4:30pm, but the official check-in for the event begins at 4:50pm to confirm their name and age.
Students shall introduce their names and pieces to the audience, and bow before and after their performance. Proper recital
Each teacher can reserve up to 15 minutes of time for the total repertoire. If the recital reservation is full, the request will be placed on the waitlist.
In the year 2023-2024, each recital had 5-7 fellow studios’ participation. Four 1.5-hour recitals were booked about 1 month prior to the recital date.
To register students for any of these recitals, please email Dr. Pei-Hsin Kao at any time up to two weeks before the recital with the following information: 1) the names and ages of the students, 2) title and time of the performance.
